AH-HA! Senior Exhibit

A semester long collaboration with twenty of myclassmates. Practiced team-building exercises and multiple group interactions. One of my contributions was the coaster invitation concept. The idea behind the coaster invitation was simply to attract someone else other than art students to the exhibit. We gave over a thousand coasters to local bars the weekend the show opened.

Also, the mailing invitation as well as poster promotion was printed at the local gazette. We were invited to be part of its' printing process. The newsprint folded out to be a poster of exclamation marks, where you could see the entire typographic mark by holding up the invitation, since newsprint is so thin.

In the end at the Kalamazoo Gazette press, we had 2,000 final invitations. They ran the press as slow as possible and the process took about 3 minutes after color corrections. Notice how small our run is compared to the usual palette of local newspapers.
