An identity for a non-profit organization that focused on family literacy through education. They teach parents how to develop literacy skills in children from ages three to five.

Rather than depicting an iconic book form to represent "literacy", I choose quotation marks to signify the importance of dialog from parent to child. Quotation marks also represent the act of reading, actually reading out loud - the way children actually learn to read, speak and linguistics altogether. The parent to child is of course shown through the figures, leaving the reference open enough for
single-parent families.

The focal point I originally grasped was how they promote both literacy skills as well as dialog skills to parents. In other terms, teaching children how to read as well as teaching parents how to communicate to children in order to build their literacy skills.
